Get Back to the Core of the Web with Stumpedia
Back in the earliest days of the internet, the World Wide Web was a place for individuals of all ages and interests to meet one another and share their love of technology. Nothing was off limits, and there were no commercial interests to get between the people and the myriad subjects they found so interesting. This infant internet was often referred to as a free for all, and this description was apt in many regards. No matter how obscure the subject or how small the niche, chances are there was a website devoted to it. From little known TV shows and cult movies to serious science, there was something for everyone to enjoy and plenty for everyone to learn.
Anyone who grew up with this version of the internet knows just how much things have changed. As those commercial interests began to creep in, a great deal of creativity and unique content got pushed out. Many of those niche sites were simply abandoned in the frenzy of web commercialization, and a great deal of creativity was lost as well. While some of those early web pioneers went on to enjoy great success in this newly commercialized enterprise, many more simply fell by the wayside in the rush to monetize content and create a homogenized one size fits all approach to the web.
That all began to change with the advent of social networking and user created content. When those first social networking sites first came online, there was a real excitement about the unique possibilities they would create. In fact the level of excitement about social networking and its possibilities often rivaled that of the early internet. Young people and their elders were equally enthralled about the new internet, and people of all ages and interests began to flock to those sites.
As the level of interest in social networking sites began to grow history began to repeat itself as well. It did not take long for the big money commercial interests to take note of this new media format, and as they came in a great deal of the original creativity and spark went out. As the search engines and social networking sites began to be taken over by bots and algorithms, the reliability of the information they returned began to suffer.
And just as spam became a plaque for email users, commercial postings and other worthless content began to plaque search engine results and social networking sites. Suddenly that valuable and quirky information became infused with commercial content, often to the detriment of ordinary web searchers.
Fortunately some companies are struggling to turn the tide and return the internet to its users. One of the best of these social search engines is a site known as Stumpedia.com. This unique site differs from other such sites in a variety of ways, but perhaps the most important is its reliance on actual human beings.
Unlike many competing sites, Stumpedia relies on real web surfers to index, organize and review websites. Instead of relying on bots, algorithms and the commercial interests of insiders for website rankings, Stumpedia relies on the input of users to determine the relevancy of the search results. By using this method, Stumpedia allows users from around the world to share their in depth knowledge of a variety of subjects with one another and help ordinary web surfers find just what they are looking for, without sifting through page after page of commercial results and irrelevant content.

Benefits of Resistance Training
Do you want to have a stronger and more beautiful body? Then the best thing to do is get on your feet and start doing the resistance training.
What Is Resistance Training?
Resistance training involves activities that use weights, machines and even body weight to work out the muscles properly. It is also known as strength training or weight training. This can be very helpful in achieving a healthier body.
This kind of training is usually associated with athletes who have to build up their bodies. Most people would think that when resistance training is done, the body will grow bigger. Actually it will not. Resistance training is simply about increasing the strength of the body, not its size.
Actually, this can be practiced by anyone. It basically builds and tones the muscle to give the body a better look. This training program is even very much advisable to the elders. The usual training programs undergone by the elders are standing free-weights resistance or the moderate-intensity seated machine training.
How Does Resistance Training Work?
A resistance training program will include the use of various exercise equipment and machines like the bench press, dumbbell or barbell. When the equipment is used, the muscles of the body will be pitted against the weight. The cells of the body will then adapt to the extra weight. This will then result to hypertrophy or the enlarging and increasing of the nerve cells to help in the muscle contraction.
Before doing any resistance training, it will be best to consult first with the doctor. This goes especially for people who have medical conditions or are overweight. This kind of training is not something that you can explore on your own. You have to know the proper equipment for the needs of your body. The body must also be conditioned first before taking in the weights.
Resistance training can also be done without resorting to the equipment. Doing push-ups is one good example. You can do it just about anywhere where there is enough space for you to move. This time it is your own body weight that will be pitted against the muscles. So those who are a bit constrained in the budget can still do resistance trainings.
What Are the Benefits of Resistance Training?
1. Increase Bone Mineral Density
Bones are constantly remodeling, meaning the tissues break down at the same time they build up. The peak of remodeling takes place during puberty. However, as a person ages, there may be problems with the bone mineral density as the remodeling may not be as active anymore. This is especially a problem to post-menopausal women.
Bone mineral density is usually supported by the hormones. To address the problem of not having the hormones to maintain the bone mineral density, physical activity is the next best option. Resistance training is one physical activity that can address this.
2. Increase Strength
Strong bones and strong muscles will be developed as you undergo the resistance training program.
3. Increase the Range of Activities
When your body is strong enough to carry some considerable weight, then definitely you will also be capable of doing more strenuous activities. You are less likely to be lazy and you can live a more active lifestyle.
4. Reduce the Body Fat
Pitting the weights on your muscle will definitely give it the body the exercise it needs and get rid of the undesirable fats. Thus expect the tone of the body to improve. Even more, expect the body to look better, to be leaner.
5. Improve State of the Elders
For the elderly, undergoing a resistance training program will help improve their health and decrease the risks brought about by the age. They can be more independent, without needing to rely on other people for doing simple things. Being able to do so will also decrease the risk of injuries in the elders
6. Improve Heart Condition
Regularly doing resistance training can result to a lowered heart rate and lowered blood pressure, especially after exercise. The risk of heart diseases is reduced to a considerable extent.
This kind of training however must be properly done. It requires commitment and consistency. It will have to be done in a regular basis, following a schedule that the doctor or the physical trainer would recommend. If done incorrectly, the benefits of the program may not be enjoyed and it can even result the injury.
The key here is to simply take your time. Do things one step at a time correctly. As your body condition improves, then move on to more challenging tasks. The strength of the body and its overall look are at stake in the resistance training. So you better be sure to do it properly.

The Montessori system of education is named after its creator, Dr. Maria Montessori who was a doctor, scientist, philosopher and anthropologist. She perceived that external influences do not just influence a young child’s mine, they form it. Therefore the aim of the teacher is not to control or impart knowledge to a child, but to create an environment where the child is exposed to the desired influences.
This concept is best created in the home, which explains the popularity and success of the Montessori home school system. Even in the best of schools young children in kindergarten or the first, second and third grades are exposed to many negative influences. Some children are just naturally unhappy in large groups. Others will pick up habits from badly behaved children or even develop anti social tendencies. The aim of the Montessori system is not to correct these things, but to prevent them from happening in the first place. While this can be achieved with some success in a regular school environment, it can be done best in the home in a Montessori home school.
In a Home School Montessori children are allowed to be free in their own environment. This allows a child to express its natural curiosity and as concepts a grasped, a need for order and organization develops and along with that so does self discipline. Obviously the safest place for a young child to be given this freedom is at home.
Young children have an innate desire to do things for themselves, either out of curiosity or to imitate the action of elders. The Montessori home school will provide children to participate in “adult” activities like cleaning, washing, gardening and so on. When a child is involved in these “natural” activities, things like learning what the letters C A T spell becomes equally natural. The Montessori home school allows children to learn by allowing freedom to their desire to understand. Allowing this freedom to children allows their self confidence and self esteem to also grow.
In a Home Schooling Montessori the parent does not direct the child towards subjects to learn. Rather the parent follows the child’s natural inclinations and curiosity to support him or her in their efforts to understand what interests them. Of course, not everything will interest every child but the satisfaction children get from understanding things that interest them will lessen their resistance, in later years, to studying subject that are not appealing to them. The subconscious memory of the satisfaction that comes from understanding will overcome many of the barriers to studying “boring” subjects.
The Montessori Home Schooling is a positive way to begin a child’s education. Even if later on parents decide to send their children to regular schools, the benefits of the Montessori home school will stay with the child for life. By allowing children to progress at their own pace and making understand that there are things they want to learn as well as things they are required to learn, a balanced outlook towards life is created in the minds of the children and this balance will stand them in good stead when they move out on their own.
