Early Pregnancy Symptoms
If you’re trying to conceive, whether to conceive a boy or a girl, you may be very anxious to know if you ARE pregnant. There are several early signs of pregnancy that can help you find it out.
If you’re planning for pregnancy, you may know well which day you period will come. Since a woman’s period is almost regular, if your period hasn’t come as you expected, you may have a chance that you’re pregnant.
Pregnancy predictor kits, available in most of the drugstore, can be used to further confirm your pregnancy. The kits can detect the hCG level in your urine if the hCG level is above certain threshold depending on the predictor kit’s sensitivity, which is usually about 25-50 mlUs of hCG in the market. Since the hCG in your urine varies widely during the day, first morning urine is always the best as it usually contain the highest concentration of hCG. There are many different brand of home pregnancy predictor kits in the market, you should read the instruction before you perform the test. A positive result is a sign of pregnancy, while a negative result may not confirm you’re not pregnant. It is usually recommended to re-do the test after a day or two.
Home urine pregnancy tests are quite accurate. But if you are still concerned, you can take a blood test, which is the most accurate test for pregnancy. The blood test measures the hCG level in your blood which can be done any time of the day. The quantitative tests can also predict if your pregnancy is healthy or not. For a healthy pregnancy, your blood hCG level should double every 48-72 hours in the first few days after you miss your period.
Pregnancy with a boy or girl may have different signs. But the above symptoms should be present regardless of the gender of the baby. If you plan to have a baby of certain gender, you can visit this website.
