MAKING MONEY FROM LURID TALES

Got a true life story which you think might make the tabloids sit up and beg? You know the type, My devil worshipping granny turned lesbian at 80! or My partner kept his underage lover in our coal cellar! They are more common that you think and with the huge payouts they command, it is little wonder more than a few writers have turned their eyes to this type of writing!

Expect to be paid anything up to six thousand pounds and beyond for the right story, probably even more if it involves a high profile celeb. Add the prospect of a prominent byline then the attraction becomes even more alluring!

So how difficult is it to break into this area of magazine writing? Assuming you have a devil worshipping grandmother or something similar, not very! There are agencies and brokers which will welcome you with open arms if you have a story of this type sell.

These are usually journalists who know the industry inside out. They have excellent contacts and have a good command of payment rates so will know exactly what your story is worth.

The big snag is and it is a big one for anyone who is serious about launching a writing career is it is very unlikely that you will be doing any writing! Tabloid magazines and newspapers employ their own in house staff trained to milk each story for every drop of lurid, sensational tidbit.

For this reason you will be well advised to leave this area of magazine writing alone. A further warning should be given at this point. Should you decide to pursue this avenue, be prepared to have your story substantially altered even to the point where much of it is down right lies!

Fortunatly, you do not have to dabble in these somewhat murky waters to make a reasonable living writing for magazines.

As long as your writing and research skills are of a reasonable level, there are plenty of magazines and websites offering good payment rates for articles.

Neither is it hard to begin making sales. The reason why most new writers struggle is they simply do not understand the business side of writing and how to provide the types of articles that will sell magazines.

You will find there is a lot of help available so do plenty of back ground reading on writing for magazinesbefore you start submitting your articles.

Get started by joining a good creative writing community. These very often carry market listings which pay for magazine articlesand are also a pillar of support for the emerging writer. You should also sign up for Mags & Rags, a superb ecourse on writing for magazines. This is currently free and will give you a good grounding in all aspects of magazine writing.

Blogs Are Opportunities For Businesses and Individuals Alike

The more time people spend online, the more ways they find to make it profitable.  Almost any business that is even moderately successful, or wants to be successful, has its own website.  Websites allow business owners and professionals to have a space to direct potential clients to for information about their business.  Increasing popular is the blogging business.  This is a business opportunity in the sense that it allows business owners and professionals to write about their particular field and develop a regular readership of people who want to learn more from them.

Blogging encompasses a large variety of fields.  Technology is an especially popular field, but politics, the arts, and sports are becoming increasingly popular as well.  Many corporations are also entering the blogging world.  It enables them to keep their customers informed as to what is going on in their industry.  Not only does it keep clients informed but it allows corporations and businesses the opportunity to develop real customer relationships.  As clients read the blogs of their favorite business or corporation, they develop a level of trust because the corporation in question is sharing pertinent information with them.  In past times, corporations shared as little as possible with their clients, not believing that it was something the customers needed or wanted to know.  Business owners are finding out now that people do want to know what is going on – they want details and information and are showing it by the comments left in the blogs.

Blogging is becoming increasingly popular as a means of making money.  Bloggers all over are creating content that is of interest to various groups.  They allow advertisers to post ads on their blog space and make a profit when the ads are viewed or when the ads are clicked on. This is also a great business opportunity — blogging for business! Google is one of the biggest advertising providers but new advertising companies are coming up everyday, allowing advertisers a means of getting publicity and bloggers a means of making money by writing about topics that they are interested in anyway.

Blogs — such as dBusinessopportunity.com — may be a way for a business to increase attention to their site or it may be a way for people who enjoy writing about a specific topic to make a little money on the side.
The world of blogging is growing and wider and wider — a variety of of individuals and businesses are finding ways to incorporate it into their fields.  Blogging is helping other businesses to grow as it becomes as business it its own right.
