Fencing Equipment For The Beginner

Besides a good attitude and a good amount of patience, there are many things that a fencer requires in order to be able to fence. Getting started all you will need are the fencing jacket, mask, glove and fencing equipment or a practice weapon, which is less involved than the obvious requirements of competition preparation. The main fencing swords used are the foil, the sabre, and the epee.

Many clubs will lend you fencing gear when you are just starting and doing a beginner course. Once you complete the course, and are hooked to it, you will be encouraged to buy your own set of gear. There are two different options for a beginner.

The first option is to buy the equipment piece-wise, until you have a full set. The other option is to purchase a starter kit, these kits contain all the basic elements of fencing requirements already assemble and sold as a unit. You have a list of required items, but what do you do with it? Prior to purchasing or using your own equipment it is important to have a solid basic understanding of both capability and purpose of each item.

The fencing jacket is made with the intent of protecting the fencer. It is important to select a jacket which is both well made and provides adequate protective coverage. There is no standard minimum constraint in the US, there is a particular standard of protection in Europe, though. For tournaments which are international in scope, such as Olympic fencing, there are greater requirements.

When starting out, the basic uniforms are more than enough. The main choices you’ll require to make are between cotton or synthetic materials. Cotton is likely to be cheaper, but is heavier and hotter whilst the synthetic materials are lighter weight but a little more expensive.

The mask is used for safety so make sure you choose a mask that is equipped with enough padding, fits well and doesn’t bear down on the top of your head or your chin. Although you can buy non-electric gloves, it really is worthwhile to get a glove equipped with a cuff that you can wear for electric fencing.

This cuff allows you to easily connect the body cord to an electric weapon from under the sleeve. These weapons come in all sizes, small to large, or in separate glove sizes. Picking up gloves that are individually sized will help you get a better fit, but they will also cost you more. The foil is made for thrusting, with a thin blade, and rounded (also known as foiled) tip. Foil blades are greatly flexible, able to bend upon contact with an opponent, thus preventing injuries.

What is The Best Way To Sell An Ebook?

If you have recently finished composing an eBook, then I have to say - great work! It’s not an easy task, and it takes real determination, persistence and patience. Now is the moment to begin working on ways to promote and sell your prized ebook. Here are 3 categories you should give special attention to:

The first option is the most simple, least expensive and also the most “DIY” option of them all - PayPal!

It only takes a few minutes to set up a PayPal account. Once you login to PayPal, do a search for “Buy Now Button”. Here you will be able to configure your settings, and in just moments it will produce an HTML code for the button which you can simply place on your site. Voila! It’s almost instant.

The second consideration is determining whether you want to advance this process a bit more, providing your potential customers with more payment selections, and also allowing internet marketers to possibility of affiliate sales with your product. As a professional virtual assistant, I would recommend you set up a Clickbank account. There is a one-off fee for using Clickbank, however it will pay off. This choice is very popular amongst affiliate marketers, and with this service, the chances are you could find your eBook being sold all over the internet.

This option does require some level of understanding of web development - or outsourcing to a professional virtual assistant, in order to set this up and meet the criteria. You will need a page on your website where you intend to display and sell your product; you will also need a thank you page too. Once you have these ready, ClickBank will happily place your product in their marketplace after it has completed the approval process.

If you would like to sell your eBook in other marketplaces, you could also try websites such as LULU, YUDU, Amazon and PayLoadz for this as well. It’s definitely worth investing a little extra time in adding your book to these sites.

Your final choice is in the selection of shopping cart software. This is the way almost every virtual assistant would suggest you go if you eventually intend on selling multiple products. With this, you should be able to customise your shopper experience and create a bespoke interface for your online store’ in fact; you can sell pretty much anything through a shopping cart. You will need a payment gateway such as WorldPay or something similar, and you may find yourself paying a monthly fee for both, so make sure your money is well invested, and consider selling other items so you can really make this investment pay off.

I am merely skimming over the surface with these opportunities, as there are many different products and services out there which will allow you to sell - and promote, your eBook. These are the most commonly used options, and are widely recognised amongst both consumers and sellers alike.

Regardless of what options you decide to pursue, I wish you great success with promoting and selling your eBook!

Top Internet Travel Sites On the Web

The best travel sites were always quite difficult to uncover. Search engines can proove to be ineffective at finding the best travel content. As a webmaster interested in my own search rankings, I often found many very good travel websites hidden away and sadly these sites can often be way better than number 1 listings. Our first option is thus to look a letting harder thru the search engine results pages.

Currently I am developing an oppotunity to try travel advertising for free and at a great on going price. I am hoping to attract some of the best travel sites on the internet with this offer so that people can easily find them on a single page. In the event that you discover one of those top sites let the webmaster know about free travel advertising.

Some very high quality travel content is written by webmasters who are unaware of how to get high rankings. Using the power of social bookmarking tools web surfers have the opportunity to promote the rankings of the best internet travel sites in the engines. These services allow users to vote for the content they like. Therefore the most highly rated travel content ends up at the top of the social bookmarking sites search results. Unfortunately many great articles are not listed.

Travel pages are another great way to find the top travel sites. This is a collection of travel articles by top independent travel sites. Once you have scoured the web to no avail try other sources such as the library or knowlegable friends and publish your finding on the web. With these travel web pages it is a piece of cake to share your knowledge with everyone!
