Helping My Granny
This month I visit my granny. I enjoy visiting her, though she’s become a bit stubborn in her old age. I won’t embarrass her by divulging her years, but let’s just say she is a lady with thoroughly seasoned wisdom.
I know her daughter just brought by a litter of baby kittens for entertainment. Of course, her daughter (my aunt) had to tolerate an extensive lesson on raising baby kittens. I’m certain my grandma would have liked to keep a couple of the kittens, but they’re simply too much for her to handle at this point.
I always find something bewildering at her home when I visit. Last time, I found several guides on penny stocks on her coffee table. My grandma learning about buying penny stock? That is nuts. I wonder what I will encounter on her cocktail table this year.
This week will make for an active visit. I must install her different Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then fix her garden cart. I additionally have to bring her old pots and pans to charity because she recently purchased a fresh collection of pots and pans to replace them. As a reward, she claims to also have bought the best ice cream maker and the very best of all the electic coffee makers. I am thankful, yet I also have to chuckle as she always claims to have or use only the greatest of this or that.
If everything proceeds well, she will utilize both to serve me some delicious coffee in the morning and ice cream in the evening. This sounds like more than pay back enough for my assistance. I’m happy to assist her for nothing, but a bit of robust coffee and creamy ice cream does not hurt.
